New Windsor, New York Speed Traps

When heading toward Stewart Airport on International Blvd. (the new entrance road for the locals) New Windsor police sit at the bottom of the hill and radar you as you are coming around the turn and down the hill. They sit at the bottom of the hill just after the speed limit changes from 45 to 35, but will clock you when you are still in the 45 mph zone.

9w goes between 45 and 55 several times in a couple of miles. The trap is at the bottom of a loooong hill, so its easy to pick up speed, even if you have your auto pilot set to 55. or 45, which ever way you re coming from .

Just over the border heading out of Newburgh. Cops like to perch right inside the gates to Calvary cemetery trying to nab folks coming out of Newburgh’s 30mph zone.

This is a 30mph zone. Cops park in the fundamentalist church lot or on the side of the road under the cover of the dense trees just south of the same church.

At the light at Rte 94 and Old Forge Hill going down the hill the speed limit is 45 as you proceed down the hill the speed changes to 30 then as you get to the Old Cornwall Paper Mill the speed goes to 20 as you wind through to the light at 9W.
