West Side Parkway near 40th Street

New York City, New YorkOct 05, 20070 Comments

There’s a cop watching for you to run the red light right around West Side Highway (northbound) and 40th Street in the mourning rush hour. The traffic lights are not synchronized and since the distance between 40th, 41st and 42nd Streets is very short at this particular spot, it’s very easy to run the red light. Cars are traveling around 50mph in this area and you just don’t have time to stop because of the very short distance. The cops know it and I always see someone pulled over in that area.
