When you are heading south on the Cross Island Park, and as soon as you pass under the bridge there are three spots where I’ve spotted the NYPD highway patrol on numerous occasions.

Just after the Bridge on the Belt pkwy before the 65th st exit there is a speed trap. Also they set up in the same area on the eastbond side also
WB Service Road Whitestone EXPW West of 20th Ave
Cop sits in driveway of NY Times Printing Plant…Speed Limit is 30 and many go 55.
WB Service Road of LIE at Queens Nassau Border
Speed limit changes from 40 to 30 when you cross the border. Most people don’t notice so the cop is there to pick up violators…several at a time.
FDR Drive North at Brooklyn Bridge
Where the lanes merge into one right before Brooklyn Bridge traffic enters, a cop will stand outside his charger radaring and flagging down speeders.
