Niskayuna, New York Speed Traps
Adirondack Woodshed State St (Route 5)
Niskayuna police often sit here or in another local business nearby and catch speeders in this 40mph zone. Both east and west traffic are slightly downhill so its easy to exceed 40. Under 50 mph and they usually won’t touch you.
Mobile station on Rt 7
It’s the privately owned mobile station close to the Ellis Woman’s Hospital…they often set there 2 at a time…it’s barely 45mph there and it quickly changes to 40mph within a block going west going east it changes to 45mph just before the station…Also love to hang out at the fire station down the road before you get to the nursing home
Union St near Mohawk Golf Club
When driving onto Union St off of route 7 traveling towards Schenectady the speed limit changes from 45 to 30. Police will often sit either on N Country Club Dr or in the church lot across the street. At night time this area is very dark and they are difficult to see.
Rose Hill Road
Cops love to sit up or down the hill at the stop signs on Rose Hill and catch people who do not come to a complete stop. Always stop fully before proceeding.
Union Street near St. Helen’s Church
The Niskayuna Police sit in the St. Helen’s Church driveway or across the street near the back Access of the Nursing Home. The speed limit is 30 but during School hours it is 20 mph. They are not lenient. You will get a ticket!
