Queensbury, New York Speed Traps
Interstate I-87 Northway near Exit Number 20
Southbound on the Adk Northway just south of exit 20 there is an unmarked U-turn that is utilized by the New York State Police. It is paved, and plowed during the winter months, and a police cruiser can be backed in for easy traffic monitoring. After a long downhill, it’s tough to keep it under 75, and they have a long line of sight to work with, so they’re shooting fish in a barrel. You won’t know where they came from, unless you know it’s there… very sneaky.
Glenwood Avenue near Glen Street
Sheriff car sits in a "blind" spot on the right just before the Glens Falls City School Bus Garage.
Meadowbrook Road near Haviland Road
Sheriff, both marked and unmarked car, sits in pull off area just before Waverly Place.
Sunnyside Street near Bay Road
Heading east on Sunnyside from intersection of Bay which is 30 mph, Sheriff hides at curve just over slight rise–its easy to go 40 or 45 before the rise and then..its too late!
Quaker Road
Unmarked Warren County Sheriff. White Impala. He will be on the opposite side of the road. Needs to be facing car head on to capture registration and inspection bar codes. Impala has 2 black cameras on roof. Also seen by Lowes on Quaker repeatedly driving up and down the road and pulling a U-turn while driving. He does not need to be still.
