I – 490 E & W at Flagpole (Culver Rd.)
At the knoll of the ‘flagpole’ just before or after Culver Rd. depending on your direction. NYS Troopers will sit on either side of knoll to catch motorists in both directions.
I – 490: U – Turn at Erie Canal Between Mt. Read and 390
Troopers sit in U – Turn…easy to see from a distance both ways; be alert and slow down as there is a huge presence here…
490W Inner Loop Just Past Plymouth Ave. Downtown
40MPH speed limit. NYS Troopers sit on right side facing out from grass or at Broad St exit. Hard to see from a distance because of Plymouth Ave. bridge…but you will see them when it is too late…slow down at Freddie Sue Bridge and go 40 – 45 mph only or you will be nailed! They have a HUGE presence here…
I – 490 U – Turn at Buffalo Rd Gates
Huge presence here by NYS Troopers…easy to see from a distance going east past the 204 exit, is more sudden westbound at Buffalo Rd. Slow down here…goes from 55 – 65 mph westbound and 65 – 55 at Westside Dr. overpass
Browncroft Blvd at Blossom Rd Penfield
MCS Deputies sit at bank and/or old Mobil station parking lot just east of Blossom Rd. Not frequent but be sure to go the 40 mph limit in this area.
