Rouses Point, New York Speed Traps

Rouses Point Police and State Police like to sit here and catch northbound traffic driving from Champlain. They are always there so watch out.

As you are entering town from the west, heading toward Lake Champlain, speed limit drops from 55 to 30 mph. Just east of underpass after you go up the hill, that straight stretch is where you will be nabbed. Be sure to slow down!

Entering Town limits from the south, a rather abrupt 55 to 30 mph change with hidden enforcement.

Local police hides so that they can clock East and West bound traffic on Route 9 leaving and entering Rouses Point. Trap is on your left entering and on your right leaving Rouses Point. It is just a dirt trail that runs parallel a short distance with Champlain Street. Out of state drivers beware!!!
