Stormville, New York Speed Traps

Every once in a while East Fishkill police park right at the bottom of the hill in a private parking area waiting for some sucker to coast down the hill and exceed the speed limit. Look for it at at the small old house on the left comming down the hill at the very bottom. There is also a road directly across from the house. Be careful of the stretch of road from there to taconic also. They patrol that area often.

Stormville rest area on I-84 west has a small police station. If the patrol car is point out towards the road – he’s ready to roll, probably hitting traffic coming down the hill with laser. They’ve got a nice hiding spot, because trucks in the rest area will block your view of the end of the area where the station is. If the patrol car is pointed in, he’s not ready to roll. Yet be aware, there’s another nice area for him to get you about 1/2 mile away and then again at the bottom of the hill in about another 1.5 miles.
