Tarrytown, New York Speed Traps
Neperan Rd. near Marymount College
Not so much a speed trap as a stop-sign trap. The cop will wait about 100 feet up on the side street (Sunnyside Ave.), just out of view of drivers coming to the (relatively) new stop-sign by the lake side parking area. Less visible from the west-bound side than from the eastbound.
Lots of drivers tend to take that stop-sign less than seriously, since it’s pretty useless. But it looks like it makes the village a lot of money.
US Highway 9 near State 119/White Plains Rd. Crossing
On Rte. 9, just North of 119 and the Shell station on the East Side of the Street there is a Chase Bank drive through lane. A fence keeps him out of sight until you’re right there.
White Plains Road near State Route 9 Broadway
As you make a right from Broadway onto rte 119 the cruiser sits in the parking lot on the right, about 100 ft form the corner. The sign says 30 MPH. If you come around thr corner too fast they will stop you. I see them every day during the night time rush hour.
RT 9 Northbound by 303 Building
Start slowing down by the 303 Building because they run LIDAR from 200 South Broadway, behind the bus stop. They can spot you way before you have a chance to slow down.
