Tully, New York Speed Traps

Just east of 281 and Rt 80 intersection

Just past Tully there is a grassy driveway that goes up a hill off 81N. The State Troopers will pull up that driveway and around to the other side and sit. If you are looking for them you can barely see the lights on the top of the car otherwise you go speeding by and don’t even see them. I’ve seen them there alot in the mornings when I am on my way to work and have also seen them there in the afternoon when I am heading home.

State Troopers will sit at the weigh station on 81N between Tully and LaFayette. The weigh station is around a bend and you are unable to see the Trooper sitting there and by the time you round the bend they have you. I usually slow down as I am nearing the bend and only return to my speed when I am sure they are not sitting there.

One or two marked troopers on I-81 median with laser or ka guns. Common in the afternoon but also other times, both directions.
