Watervliet Shaker Rd & 10th St

Watervliet, New YorkJul 31, 20090 Comments

The cops lay in wait at the little used entrance to the Arsenal, the road changes from 40 MPH over the railroad tracks to 30 MPH in the city. This town is awful, it has a large police force and uses speed traps as their main means of support. They are a terrible city, and I would avoid the area, they are always laying in wait ready to nail someone. Do not do business in this city if you can help it.

19th St & Troy Schenectady Road

Watervliet, New YorkJul 31, 20090 Comments

This four lane road is 45 MPH for most of its length in Colonie / Latham and very quickly turns to 30 MPH within the City Limits. They wait in many spot around this area waiting to get you. Watervleit is TERRIBLE – this is a very poor community, with no tax base, the cops are awful and are using speeding tickets for revenue generation. While the community is poor, the cops have the nicest, newest cars of any community around. WATCH YOU STEP DRIVING HERE, not a nice place to do business at all.

2nd Ave & 13th St

Watervliet, New YorkJul 31, 20090 Comments

This is a four lane road, wide with good sight lines into the fire station at the end of the street. The cops sit in a dip by the fire station with a clear shot down second avenue. It is 30 MPH speed limit, with a road that is easy to drive faster. This town uses speed traps as revenues, avoid the whole town if you can. This is not an area you want to travel through. Avoid Watervliet it is a bad place for anyone, not a community anyone should do business in.
