Westtown, New York Speed Traps

Speed County Route 1 goes from 50 MPH to 30 MPH on a down hill slope without prior warning. New York State Police are ready right at the 30 MPH sign. Drivers have no chance to slow down enough, especially on a hill. When he was questioned about the sudden speed reduction and no chance to slow down the N.Y. State Trooper who gave my friend his ticket even told us with a smirk. “That works out pretty good for us.” Any innocent person driving through is at their mercy.
