Buxton, North Carolina Speed Traps

Deputys park by the Buxton Fire Dept usually facing north. The speed limit goes from 55 to 35 then 25 in a short distance. Easy to miss the 25 sign if you’re not familiar with the area. The rest of the villages are 35 in the summer but for whatever (probably political) this area is 25 year round. No reason whatsoever for the low speed. The next village north has more business etc. and it’s 45 in the winter and 35 in the summer.

Usually navy blue Ford, likely radar, frequently parked near the Diamond Shoals restaurant, bait shop or the Texaco, looking for southbounders coming into the village on 12 from the open roads north of town.
