Charlotte, North Carolina Speed Traps

Charlotte, NC police are using two new unmarked cars: a Ford Mustang Cobra and a Nissan 350Z. Both racy blue, with expensive and flashy alloy wheels, they were seized from street racers and have now been fitted with laser speed guns and strobes and are doing regular traffic enforcement, driven by uniformed officers.

East Hebron St. near England St. intersection
A radar car sits at the bottom of a steep hill. If a vehicle does not brake on this hill the speed can easily exceed the limit of 35 and attract the attention of the police. Look for this trap any day of the week especially at rush hours when traffic is heavy

Speed has changed from 35 MPH to 25 MPH so speeders at 30 MPH are being stopped – also pulling over those that do not make a full stop at stop signs – beware!
Sardis Rd North
An unmarked car sits in the northeast entrance/exit of Coronation Blvd at the bottom of the hill. He is pointing towards Hwy 74, The speed limit there is 35 mph. They love to hide at the bottom of hills!!
