China Grove, North Carolina Speed Traps
I-85 S just after you pass under the Hwy 152E overpass
Almost always parked right next to the on-ramp (backed up near the very top) where you enter I-85 S from Hwy 152E. When I used to work in Kannapolis, I often would almost immediately see a patrol car parked next to that on-ramp as I started down it leading onto I-85 S off of Hwy 152E (which takes you to Rockwell)
I-85 South onto Hwy 29 to China Grove
The I-85 speed limit of 65 jumps quickly to 45 after you veer onto Hwy 29. There is a hidden ramp on the right where traffic comes down from 29A. This ramp is a regular home for the Hwy Patrol or city police each day.
State Highway 152 near Franklin Street
Going west on Hwy 152 just after you pass Franklin St. the
posted limit has been changed from 55MPH to 35MPH. No new
housing or business has been added. I have been driving there for 42 years and it was always a 55MPH zone. I guess
the Town of China Grove needs the money to pay for all the annexation they can’t afford to keep up. It goes back to 55MPH just past the intersection of 152 and West Ketchie St.
It is rediculous to change the speed limit that drastically.
Hwy 29 North bound lane
They wait for you in the grass on the right side fo the road and will get you the speed limit goes from 55 to 45 and they lay and wait.
