Peace Haven Rd from West of Harper to Lewisville-Clemmons Rd

Clemmons, North CarolinaMay 24, 20120 Comments

This section is 35 mph, down from 45 to the west. It’s hard to do 35 here. Sheriff’s deputies like to park in the power substation access drive where you come around a slightly blind curve just after the 45 to 35 slowdown. They also frequently park in the driveway of the vacant old house across from the YMCA.

Gardenspring Dr & Fair Oaks Dr

The forysth county sheriffs department is monitoring this road and has by their own admission caught many drivers. The speed limit on this road is very low so beware! It is obviously a good spot to generate revenue for our county and state with our defenders of public safety no more than $$$ collectors.

Hampton Road near State Highway 158

Clemmons, North CarolinaDec 29, 20070 Comments

Forsyth County Sheriff’s Department has two hiding locations on the beginning mile of Hampton Road coming from Highway 158 (Stratford Rd)where the posted speed is 35. The first location is in the parking lot of Clemmons Milling Co. They back up behind the tractor trailers in the parking lot. The second location is about 1/4 mile down from that at the entrance of a neighborhood street just before the curve where the speed limit goes up to 45.

Interstate 40 near After 421 split

Clemmons, North CarolinaNov 06, 20070 Comments

Heading West on I-40 between the 421 split and the Clemmons exit (184) cops sit in the median, usually in pairs. They will catch you heading east or west. I-40 is 3 lanes at this point and I believe it’s 65 mph although with little traffic you could easily go 80+

I-40E and W vehicle cross-over between Winston-Salem and Clemmons

Clemmons, North CarolinaAug 14, 20030 Comments

You can count on one or two sheriff’s deputies in marked patrol cars watching this area all the time, especially during rush hour. The North Carolina Highway Patrol is also very active on this stretch of I-40 with un-marked Crown Vics and marked slick top Impalas and Camaros. Take it slow through here.
