Elon, North Carolina Speed Traps

Just north of the stoplights at this intersection they recently reduced the speed limit from 45 to 35 for about 1/2 mile. So going either north or south on Cook Rd/University Dr. the limit starts at 45 then down to 35 and back up to 45. In short, the perfect definition of a speed trap. Elon police have nothing better to do than pull folks over.

It’s right in the middle of doughnut central. Everyone thinks they’re breaking at the Pantry, but the 5.0 are looking to pounce on the first tag they see out of date by a day.

Between the Campus Police and Town Police there are about 10 officers working at all times within about 1 square mile. In between their 5 to 6 hour coffee breaks at the Kangaroo they are out looking to scratch anyone and everyone some biscuits since they receive about 1 call per month and have absolutely nothing better to do.
