Garner, North Carolina Speed Traps

They sit on top on the Greenfield Parkway overpass by The Chrysler Dealership with cameras. By the time that you see them, you’ve been caught. They clock you from the overpass and a chase car will pull you over.

They are active but seem to be more active around the first of each month.

Trooper sits at bottom of hill on Hwy 42 just west of I-40, side of road with lights off. Typically after midnight so dark and can’t see him. Even if you are going speed limit at top of hill, and take foot off accelerator, you will be well above it after reaching his location at bottom of big hill. He’s targeting local draft house patrons.

Speed limit drops from 45 to 35 approximately 1/2 mile west of Aversboro Rd. Until 1/4 mile east of Aversboro. Police hide and make numerous stops for speeding.

GPD, traffic units sets up on the side of road, median bushes or intersections monitoring the 35 mph zone. The trap zone goes from 45 mph to 35 zone on a downgrade. The majority of drivers, are having to ride their brakes on the downgrades in order to keep it near 35.

They changed the speed limit from 45 mph to 35 mph and did not put up any warning signs. They are sitting in the entrance to the Landings.
