Kannapolis, North Carolina Speed Traps

just west of NC hwy 3 on rainbow drive in Kannapolis,the road takes a curve with fields on both sides….Rainbow drive is a 45 MPH street (except for this part,which ironically is the ONLY part that is not populated by homes),which is a 35 MPH zone(travelling east on Rainbow drive it is posted,travelling west it is NOT)…….Kannapolis police often like to hide in the field on the inside (north) side of the curve and write tickets whenever the city needs extra money or if the police Sgt. is coming down on the officers to write more tickets (I have heard this tidbit from at least 2 different officer friends of mine)

Posted speed is 35 mph but as you go downhill you are clocked as your car picks up speed.
