The Maiden P.D. sit at the little turn-off just below Maiden High School, there you can’t see them at all at night. A long stretch of 45 turns to 35 as you enter town.

A State Trooper will sit on the left side of the church…if your headed North on HWY16 towards Newton you can’t see him until last second due to all the trees…if your headed South on HWY16 towards Denver you can see him if he’s not hiding beside the church. Speed Limit is 55 but Signs are only posted coming out of Newton and coming out of Denver none are posted inbetween.

West Maiden Road

In the space of less than 1/2 mile the speed in this area falls from 45 then 35 then 25. This is a prime area for questionable enforcement. The reduction in this speed zone are so drastic for the short distance, that it is a primary target for police action.

West main street, Carolina ave. and U.S. 321 S. business

Moving and stationary radar in use in all locations. 321 business and Carolina ave. are targeted mostly at night. Other locations such as West main and Boyd streets are target locations 24-7.
