Marion, North Carolina Speed Traps

Marion and McDowell County has 5 new North Carolina State Troopers . These new troppers have a primary interest in writing tickets apparently. I have met two people who received tickets for not stopping at a stop sign at an intersection where the other road at the intersection is closed due to construction. These tickets were issued late night ( one at 2 AM ). They are concentrating on Hwy 221 North of Walmart. The road is 4 lane with a turning lane . It has light traffic especially late night. It is relatively straight with no steep hills or inclines . The speed limit there is 50 mph. Closer into town on the same road the speed limit is 55 mph.
