US-74 at Concord Ave / Skyway Dr (US-601) overpass(es)

Monroe, North CarolinaApr 19, 20130 Comments

Police (usually en masse from Sherriff’s dept to Monroe, Stallings and other surrounding town’s police) will stand with Lidar on the overpasses over US-74, with police cars waiting on the other side to catch you. Have seen 6 people pulled over at a time. This is usually during holidays (TG, Xmas) but have seen it at other times. Watch the bridges for someone standing on them. Slow to 45 as you approach. Most people drive this stretch of road at 55 or higher. Easy pickings.
