Cops wait at the Fire station parking lot facing the Chapel Hill Rd (NC54) and Mccrimmon Pkwy intersection. It serves two purposes: (1) Speeding traffic coming up the mound on southbound NC54 (Reduce-speed signs few hundred yards up North); (2) Traffic that does not perform a FULL STOP (Emphasize on F-U-L-L) while turning right on NC54 from Mccrimmon.

Church Street near McCrimmon Parkway

Morrisville, North CarolinaMay 09, 20051 Comments

Police officers will routinely sit in the 45 degree angle driveway which is on the corner of McCrimmon Parkway and Church St. They’ll back off of the road into the trees and come tearing out to catch speeders. Generally this is non rush-hour traffic, as during rush hour, the traffic doesn’t move at all.

Aviation Blvd. towards Lake Crabtree (exit 285 off I-40)

Morrisville, North CarolinaJul 31, 20020 Comments

Police cars are frequently seen hiding on a dark side street. The speed limit is 45 through here but late at night traffic is usually going around 50-55 mph thru this area. Traffic going from Morrisville towards I-40 usually cannot see this hidden car and are at the greatest risk.
