Wade Avenue near Interstate Near I-40 exit to Wade going East
Raleigh City Police on the left hand side at end of treeline in the center ditch area around 1:30a to 2:30a, no street lights in the area make for good cover behind trees. Keep your eye out for small reflection off of their chrome bumper of other cars headlights passing them by in front of you. As long as you hit the brakes on the other side of the overpass at beginning of the treeline you should be fine.
Interstate 40 near Between I-440 Beltline and NC 42
Lots of marked Raleigh PD cars parked under overpasses clocking traffic. It seems like the Raleigh PD are trying to do the NCSHP’s job on I-40 east of Raleigh.
US Highway 64/264
Be careful when driving on the new 64/264 Knightdale Bypass. The enforcement on this road is very high. The Raleigh PD, SHP and especially the Wake Co. Sherriff has taken an interest in this road. Speed limit is 65 MPH, should be 70 mph. The last time I drove this road a saw 8 cars either with people pulled over or on the side of the road clocking traffic. Most likely lost revenue from fewer people patronizing the businesses on old 64 has put a hurting on tax dollars being taken in and has created a decrease in business.
US Highway US 64/264 Knightdale Bypass near Raleigh to Wendell Street
This new stretch of road. I have seen the Raleigh PD and especially the Wake County Sherriff’s Dept out on this road alot, especially late at night. Very High level of enforcement.
South Saunders Street near Western Boulevard
Coming into downtown Raleigh on South Saunders St, speed limit has been reduced from 45mph to 35 mph a good ways before you actually hit downtown. There is nothing in this area, RPD will position their car or Motorcycle under the Western Blvd overpass and clock traffic.
