The officers in Rolesville have 2 marked cars and one unmarked, along with bicycle patrol(during the day) when warm weather permits. The patrol vehicles are a grey metallic color that is very hard to spot day or night…. heading south on 401 the officers like to sit on the west side of the road just inside the city limits where the speed drops from 55 to 45,most times they are shooting radar at north bound traffic, also heading southbound they prefer to sit in the front of the cemetary headstone makers where it is nice and dark, again shooting traffic traveling northbound and then also they will sit on the south end of town in a car repair shop parking lot on the east side shooting northbound drivers as they come around a corner where the speed limit drops from 55 to 35mph. as you are traveling north on 401 look for them between the Exxon station and the car repair place on the east side facing north looking to catch southbound drivers, also traveling notrh they sit in the elementary school parking lot. They use instant on radar.but with a good radar detector you can sniff them out as they love to shoot every car heading towards them.the food lion grocery store by the exxon station will give off false warnings in the x-band… RPD uses either K or KA band, also Wake county sherrifs will hole up about 2 miles south of Rolesville at crest in the road on the eastside of the road shooting northbound traffic and also I have saw them and also SHP on the west side about 1/4 mile north of there on a curve shooting Northbound traffic…I Also had one of RPD’s finest follow me thru the whole town at the speed limit only to shoot me with radar as he reached the end of his juridiction by the Baptist Church on the North end of town more than once… the whole area is a hotbed for "Johnny Law" so use due care in this town of 900 ppl…
