Police sit in parking lot at the abandoned Keener Lumber Company facing each way. Speed limit is 45 mph and they will get you if you are doing over 53 mph.

Police will sit at each end of the 1 1/2 mile bridge. Speed limit is 45 mph but they pull everyone who is going over 52 mph.

Johnston County Sherrif likes to sit in the medium just around the curve before the straight away clocking you .. it’s a 55 zone They will get you .. no excuses

Local Police patrol this stretch and will pull over anyone who’s driving a couple miles above 65mph. You will find several cars pulled over on the Northbound and Southbound sides of this stretch of I-95. Smithfield Police are also known to intimidate motorists, specifically out of state drivers, by pulling up to them, taking down the plate information, and staring into the drivers side window.

Smithfield Police Department has made an abrupt change in police cruisers and cruiser color/logo. The cars used to be dark blue Crown Victorias. Now, they are white Chevy Impalas with some sort of red broken line decals on the side.
