Intersection Perth Road and State Park Road
The speed limit North on Perth Road changes from 45 to 35 just before a bend in the road. There is a cemetery at the above intersection. The locals park at the cemetery facing South to catch you as you round the bend.
Old Mountain Road near East Mombo Road
At the itersection of Old Mountain Road & East Mombo Road the speed limit drops from 45 mph to 35 mph. After dark on several occasions I have saw an officer sitting in the corner off the road where these 2 roads intersect. There are no street lights there and so you don’t see him until it’s too. late.
Interstate 77 South near Exit Number 45
when traveling 77S towards Mooresville at exit 45 they sit on the on ramp. The on ramp has trees on both sides so you cant see any on coming traffic till they are ready to merge on the the interstate. The only way you can see enforcment is to look in your rear view mirror once you have already passed.
US Highway NC Hwy. 115 near Exit Number Exit 42
After passing the underpass with access ramps to I-77 heading north toward Statesville, Highway Patrol will sit in the entrance to the storage facilities (just past Flower House Loop) with their vehicle hidden behind the row of trees on either side of the entrance. The posted speed limit is 45mph.
