State Highway I-40 near Exit Number Hanes Mall Blvd

The state troppers sit off behind a set of very thick bushes that keep them out of site untill after you have passed them. They will bust you for going 70 in a 65, especialy if you’re in the left lane and you drive a deisel truck or any kind of sports car. they bust anyone and everyone. More so on weekends and the summer but they are always there really bad in the morning time and if you run radar dector then you know they stick there. City cops do the same thing as well but not as bad. State troppers are the worst for it.

Close to NC School of the arts or the Career Center. Always at the bottom of a hill. Sometimes beside the "Nitty Gritty Soul Cafe". Speed Limit is 35. Perfectly straight road. Travel daily…see traps consistently. Discovered it by getting a ticket.

US Highway Business 40 near Peters Creek Parkway

Winston Salem, North CarolinaNov 28, 20070 Comments

Coming Westbound on Business 40, there are two common speedtraps near the Peters Creek Parkway exit, just by the "Hawthorne Curve." At night, officers will sit in the grass to the right to catch those coming down the steep hill. During the day, they will post up about 1/8 mile after the Peters Creek exit, usually parked on the right side of the Hawthorne Curve.
