Arlington Heights, Ohio Speed Traps

Officer sits near exit ramp 12 ( Left side) in complete darkness after curve in highway of I-75 North and clocks radar. Speed Limit is 55 MPH. Village has square mileage of 0.3 miles. Village is between north and southbound lanes of I-75 north of Cincinnati ,and collects revenue from mainly moving violations. Two officers, a Chief and a Assistant Chief in the whole community. Recently got my first violation in this area in moderate nighttime traffic. Incident: all vehicles were traveling within 5 mph of each other. I was third car behind two others in far left lane keeping up with traffic with cars and trucks in middle lane and and left lane obstructing view of Officer’s cruiser. All cars braked when they saw parked cruiser. Pulled over for doing 73 in 55. (Was not doing 73 mph, I had cruise control set and know what speed I was traveling). Was issued speeding ticket. Research of this area shows they liked 71mph on tickets seems now 73 mph is the norm on tickets issued. Be careful!!

I’d heard about this years ago from friends — but didn’t expect to become a victim myself. 72 in a 55 cost me $118.00.

Yeah, Boss Hogg would love this beauty of a trap just north of the Ronald Reagan / Cross County Highway. Cop sits on an on ramp onto I-71. Speed limit is 55, most do 70 going through here. Poor town. Need the revenue. I think only 1/10 of a mile actually goes through the town.. where the cop sits.

This location is already on the list, however this trap is now suspected of having caused a fatality accident at this location when motorists suddenly began braking at the sight of the police cruiser on the side of the road. Please be extremely careful in this heavily traveled area of I-75.
