Broadview Heights, Ohio Speed Traps
Broadview Road in Assumption Church parking lot
Not a traditional "speed trap," but a circumstance to be aware of. During school hours in front of the Assumption Church, the police catch quite a few exceeding 20, and it’s easy to do. Just want to let people know to watch their speed in that area during those hours.
Edgerton Road-East of golf course
Just east of the golf course, on the south side of the street is an oil well access driveway, hidden to east bound traffic by undergrowth. Patrol cars and on occasion motorcycles park back enough to be hidden until too late. The speed limit is 35 but because of decending hills it is very easy to coast up to 50 mph.
West Ridge Road near Echo Lane
They park at end of street in cul-de-sac and run stationary radar. There’s absolutely no leniency given. My uncle was cited for doing 29 on this street which is a 25mph. 4 over! Sad. Word is that the police chief lives on this street. Some say he actually lives in last house by cul-de-sac where these traffic nazis park. Don’t drive on West Ridge if you dont want to involuntarily donate to the city coffers.
Broadview Road near Sprague Road
Cops like to monitor the 25-mph stretch of Broadview Road between Sprague and Avery Roads. Common hangout is a bank parking lot on west side of the road looking towards Broadview/Sprague. Another one is in the parking lots just south of Wallings Road looking south. Very few people drive the posted speed, but if traffic is light, definitely watch your speed.
