The speed limit is 35 mph and they sit anywhere they can hide from Rte. 163 up to the bend where you have the lake view. State, Sherriff and local.

Sand Road, west side of Catawba

Local, Sheriff and State troppers use radar on this strip of road running off Rte. 163 onto Sand Road where it is 35 mph. Usually hiding anywhere from the Legion Post to just before the bend where you see the lake.
