Centerville, Ohio Speed Traps
Atchinson Rd between Spring Valley and Nutt Rd
Atchinson Rd is wide with a center turn lane where a 35 MPH limit seems appropriate. Difficult to keep speed at the 25 MPH posted limit. Police sit in center turn lane.
Clyo – between Bigger and Wilmington Pike
Cops will sit in the Far Hills church parking lot and pace people heading east on Clyo. Most commonly found in the mornings or evenings during work driving times. Speed limit there is 35mph
Alex-Bell Rd. between Loop Rd. and Clyo Rd.
This section of the road is set for 35 mph, but has a steep hill on it. The trap catches vehicles heading east, as they roll down the hill, gathering speed.
Alex-bell Rd. between 741 and Mad River Rd.
Always a sheriff deputy trolling along this area. It’s 45 mph until you cross the bridge over Holes creek going from Miami twp into Washington twp it changes to 35. Be careful around Rahn Rd. and Mad River Rd.
Anywhere along Clyo Road
Just about anywhere along Clyo road, you will see a Centerville cop. They’re especially fond of the little side turn offs past the Emergency vet, up towards the Hospital entrance. People always go 45-50 miles mph through this area, but the posted is 35. Be very careful.
