Coitsville, Ohio Speed Traps

State Route 422 from the Pennsylvania State Line traveling into Ohio to State Route 616, it is about a 2 to 3 mile stretch that is Coitsville Township. The Coitsville Police sit in numerous spots in this little stretch of highway. Especially when it starts getting dark. They sit and wait for speeders and other traffic offenders. They drive white Dodge Chargers that the department has recently purchased. They use Radar to catch offenders.They especially like to pull over Pa drivers from what I see everytime I pass through there. The posted speed limit is 55MPH. The speed limit signs are barely visible due to years of use and non replacement of new signs. This is a cash cow for this department. Also if you get cited for speeding and if you dont sign the citation, that is probable cause for an arrest.Set your cruise control. PA DRIVERS BEWARE.

Coitsville cops sit at the old sauce canning bldg so if your going towards Hubbard they are completly hidden. God forgive you if you do not make a complete stop at Oak St. They love the prison employees

They drive light blue Chevy Impalas and they also drive white Ford Crown Vics. Their radar gets you coming or going either way. They especially like people from Pennsylvania.
