Columbiana, Ohio Speed Traps

Late at night, usually around or past midnight, a cop sits back in the parking lot of the lumber store there with just their parking lights on. See them frequently. Lately, either the same or another one, one has been sitting just up from there at some storage units. Due to my new job I travel through late at night/early morning and always see that cop at the lumber store with people pulled over.

45 in a 25 mile an hour speed zone. Just waiting for shakerwoods festival goers to hit this 25 mile an hour zone, before they hit they main drag and hit them with a speeding ticket.

Police sit in dry cleaner parking lot running radar in both directions. The speed limit is 25 Mph. They are stopping a lot of cars

It isn’t every day, but I’ve seen them sit frequently in various places along the road. They’re pointing up towards the hill near the park, to catch people speeding down it.

They usually sit past Duke and McDonald’s going towards St. Rt. 7 on the right hand side in the plaza and also in the Deluxe Motors car lot.
