Dayton, Ohio Speed Traps
State Route 48 (Far Hills Ave.) Between Rahn Road and Dorothy Lane
The Kettering police patrol this 3-4 mile stretch of road heavily at all times of the day, particularly mid-days and evenings. The posted speed limit of 35 is far too low for the area, and most traffic generally travels at 45-50 mph. Be especially careful near David Road, it is not uncommon to see 3 officers within a half-mile stretch in this area! I recently recieved a ticket for $135 for going 49 mph, would have been more if I had not buckled my seatbelt as soon as I saw the officer…If you are going more than about 40 mph through this zone, get ready to be issued a hefty ticket.
