Findlay, Ohio Speed Traps

Ohio Highway Patrol likes to sit in the center median at random times during the day, and more at night. About a mile north of Exit 159 and a mile south of Exit 161. Patrol car will be sitting just south of the County Rd. 95 overpass.

Rout 12 East of Findlay between the 12 and 224 intersection headed east toward Bright Road , The city police like to sit in a church parking lot on the South side of the road and point their radar at out going traffic.

Heading south on Broad Avenue you will go over the Blanchard River and through an "S" Curve. There is a park to your right, and on the left is an entrance to a ballpark. City police usually sit behind the Pine trees along the drive with the gun aimed at motorists.

During holiday weekends, the Ohio Highway Patrol will pull over cars by the dozen for going more than 10 mph over the 65 mph limit. All of Interstate 75 which passes through Hancock County is a speed trap zone when heavy holiday traffic is present. My wife was clocked by aircraft and given a ticket for 77 in a 65 zone.

State Patrol will put an patrolmen on the over pass of exit 157, he will stand on the overpass and radar traffic, then he will raidio to units waiting about 1/2 mile down the Intersate. The speed limit is 65 MPH and it is near impossible to see the trooper on the overpass. This trap is use mostly in the summer months and monitored normally with X-band radar.
