The Hanging Rock Officer pulled me over in Scioto County. Keep in mind that Hanging Rock is in Lawrence County. I called Scioto County Sheriff to complain. The dispatcher said he hears that they leave their jurisdiction often. How many others have they done that to? I’m a local, so I know where the county line is, but how many out of town people have they gotten that off on?

It was during a heavy downpour, he accused me for running a stop sign, peeling out, and crossing marked lanes. I admit I did not come to a complete stop, I rolled thru the stop sign, having admitted to that, I drive an all wheel drive Ford Explorer that is incapable of peeling out because if one tire slips all wheels start turning. I was trying to not hit a huge pothole and swerved around it as not to bust my tire. I had no idea where the marked lines were, as I mentioned, it was pouring rain and water was standing over the road. The officer that pulled me over was very rude and condescending, also was not the least bit professional looking.

Officer claimed I was doing 85 in a 60 (NO WAY)!, but did not issue a reckless op? I had not seen a sign in miles as this are is very poorly marked. Ticket was $175 and obviously a seriously needed source of revenue for a small, run down town.

Very few posted signs, one block of it going down to 55 abd got pulled over and given reckless driving ticket because officer states I was going 77 in a 55. I know I was not driving that fast because it was an unfamiliar area and I was looking for a place to stop and get gas. The officer had no mercy- he saw my indiana plates and saw an easy target.

I was pulled over for passing in the right lane on a multilane highway. Officer told me it was state law (it isn’t; it is a city ordinance). After getting pulled over, officer comes back and states I was also speeding (wasn’t – going 55 in a 60). Horrible, rude officer who also asked where I learned how to drive (I’m an Asian, who was born in the US). When I called today to get my ticket info (238 bucks), I was told it was practically impossible to fight the ticket. Thanks for nothing.
