Intersection of Route 700/Route 305 and Route 82

Hiram Village near Hiram College at Intersection 700 that turns to Route 82 East and Route 305 is a SPEED TRAP. I have been followed on mulitple occasions of being followed (close proximity) by Hiram Police going through this intersection as I continued west on Route 82 to Allyn Road where I turn north to go home. I encourage citizens of this community (Garrettsville/Hiram) to contact area business in Garrettsville to voice their concerns.

I will no longer go to Garrettsville to shop. As a community citizen, Hiram College alumni, I received my first ticket ever in Hiram.

It is good to have responsive protection in this community because there are many students and community members who should be provided this good protection; however, penalizing local business and its citizens should not occur by way of a speed trap in the community.

My record was flawless until I was pulled over in Hiram.

Hiram Police continually stop community citizens on these roads.

SR 305 East of Hiram

Hiram, OhioMay 24, 20120 Comments

As you leave or enter Hiram on SR 305 the police are often parked on the north side of the road with their lights off. They sit at the bottom of the hill and since you are going down hill from both directions you are often going over the speed limit even if you were original going the speed limit before going down the hill.

700 Going both North and South

Hiram, OhioMar 20, 20100 Comments

The places I have been seeing police most recently is on Route 700 in two locations within the village limits. The first is on the North side and they sit right at the border where the speed limit drops from 55 to 65mph and will on the west side of the street and most of the time sit with there lights off!! So be careful both ways because of the speed drop and going north because the hill will easily take you over 35. The second place I’ve noticed them often is at the top of the hill on 700 near the north side of town. Always lights off at night. Good luck.
