Clifton Blvd. at Belle Avenue
Lakewood PD sit south of Clifton on Belle Avenue shooting radar at Clifton traffic. He is invisible until you are actually passing Belle Avenue. Clifton is a wide, seven lane Boulevard, yet they enforce 35 MPH.
Detroit Ave. near Cohasset Ave.
Lakewood police sit next to the now closed Red Rooster deli across from Garfield Middle School. The building is all brick and tucked away from the road. The officer sits on the west side of it where it is impossible for westbound traffic to see him and difficult for eastbound traffic. They may be there any time, not just school hours.
Detroit Ave., near Cohassett Ave.
Lakewood PD will park cruisers in the parking lot of the former Red Rooster Deli (closed). This was also the previous home of Dough Boys. They seem to be looking for speeders on Detroit Ave. They park next to the solid brick building and are nearly impossible to see, especially for westbound motorists.
