Lyndhurst, Ohio Speed Traps
Brainard Street near Meadowood Street
Police are awaiting for next victim in the parking lot of Brainard Park. Doesn’t matter if your heading north or south.
Meadowood Street near Richmond Road
Police car will park in a resident’s drive and zap you. Meadowood is a popular "cut thru" street to/from Brainard & Richmond, be careful. It’s a "no-mercy" speed trap. I’ve seen these cops camped here on Saturday/Sunday mornings, others in neighborhood have seen in the evening.
Cedar Road near Richmond Road
The police sit in someone’s driveway right after legacy village and must have tickets prewritten out because they are pulling people over every 5 mins sometimes. sometimes two cars tag teaming it. Sundays are the worst. they don’t care at 7am on a sunday that blasting their sirens wakes someone up who just got home from work an hour ago.
Interstate 271 near US Highway just south of Rt 322
The local officers sit between the regular and express lanes where the road curves just south of US route 322 making it hard to view their cruiser position until after they have clocked your vehicle rounding the curve. The speed limit in that area is 60 MPH with most of the traffic moving at 70+ MPH this area is a real revenue bonanza for this suburb.
Brainard and I-271
When you get off I-271 and turn onto Brainard, be very careful. Brainard is a decent size stretch of road and there are few lights. Most people get off the freeway and want to do 55 or 60 down Brainard and Lyndhurst police know this. Brainard is a 35 zone. Police will sit on the sidestreets or in the parking lot for the city pool. 35 is strictly enforced and they regularly get 10-15 people an hour
