Mansfield, Ohio Speed Traps
US Highway 42 near US Highway 30
Police set at the point where the exit ramp from WB US30 enters SB US42. First posted speed limit sign for this traffic (35 mph) is beyond where they measure speed. They enforce based upon 35 mph being the legal limit north of the point where the ramp enters US42.
Park Avenue
Every Friday or Saturday night (especially during the summer) kids with modified cars park in parking lots all around park ave. This starts at 10:00pm and some stores really have a problem with kids staying in there lots. Cops cruise around there CONSTANTLY. The speed limit is 35 mph dont gamble.
Fifth Avenue
Mansfield Police Officers sit in the Baker’s Body Shop parking lot and get motorists crossing the Rt. 30 bridge into the corporation limits or around the curve going towards Rt.30. The speed limit is 35 until you get over the bridge going East then changes to 25 so make sure you slow down once you hit the Mansfield corporation limits or you could get a ticket.
City Limits on Highway 31
Parked police car at end of cement divider with 3-4 cars along side of the road to pick off speeders as they pass the radar car. They are working both sides most of the time.
At Rt. 30 and Trimble Rd
This trap is already on your list but I would like to add some more detail of how it is set up to catch out of towners. There is a sign that says "Mansfield Six Miles Ahead" located just around the bend about one half mile before the speed trap at Trimble Rd. where Mansfield city police are.
