Ohio state troopers and county sheriffs patrol 23 in and around Marion regularly during the week and heavily on the weekends. Pay particular attention to the area just south of the city near the rest areas.
Us 23 North and south any of the 4 exits for marion
I’ve seen plenty of Ohio St. Patrol cops monitor this area at any time of the day. The worst places to get caught, are between the 2nd an 4th exits to marion OH. These cops can hide just about anywhere along rt. 23 north or south. They usually sit in the medians of us 23 between williamsport rd. and rt. 95. If your not carefull, they will nail you with laser at the crest of the hills on 23. I saw on state patrol car on a back hilly noll OFF THE HIGHWAY! (looking past us 23 south) tring to nail cars! Believe me, I’ve traveled this route for many years between Columbus and Ann Arbor, MI. and have gotten caught a few times. But I think I’ve gotten it down where I can speed (between 65 and 75) and adjust to 70 in other areas. A piece of advice: If you want to speed, keep it about 71 to 73 m.p.h. where it posted at 65 m.p.h., and you should be o.k. The cops won’t usually nail you unless your going above 75 m.p.h. But beware, they can nail you anywhere so be on the alert!
