On Mentor Road going north past Little Mountain there is a rise in the road before the overpass (Route 90) This is in Kirtland city limits and Kirtland officers will sit on the side street using radar for those cars on Mentor Road going north or south.

On Route 306 near Quaker Steak and Lube

Mentor, OhioSep 24, 20100 Comments

If you exit TGIFridays, DiBella’s Subs or Quaker Steak and Lube turing right ( heading south on route 306-Reynolds Road) a cop is always sitting in the vacant driveway across from the Hooley House ( same side of road as Quaker Steak). THey are there later at night, looking for erratic drivers, simple mistakes like forgetting to put your headlights on after leaving a totally well lit parking lot, looking for ANY MINOR error to try to catch impaired drivers! Don’t assume turning left is much safter…they sit by the SPEEDWAY heading north on 306 as well

Corduroy Road into Mentor Headlands

Mentor, OhioSep 04, 20100 Comments

Police hide in the Marsh House Parking lot at the top of the hill and sometimes at the bottom of the hill. Speed limit is 25 mph. Hard to get your car to go that slow down hill unless you ride your brakes the whole way

Heisley Road near Jackson Road

Mentor, OhioJan 14, 20080 Comments

Police sit in the parking lot of the manufacturing plant just south of the railroad overpass. They are completely blacked out, and will catch you coming off the overpass, or headed up the overpass. I hear across the scanner of many traffic stops happening "on Heisley just south of Jackson" or "on Heisley just north of Tyler", and see them sitting in their hideout at least every other night.
