On Fowles Rd. between Engle Rd. and Eastland Rd.

Middleburg Heights, OhioAug 18, 20120 Comments

The speed limit is 25MPH on this dark, quiet road. The MHPD sit off to the side and wait for unwary speeders to go over the limit.
Also a NO RIGHT ON RED sign is dimly lit above at WB Fowles at Engle Rd. traffic light; the MHPD sit back after dark and wait for drivers to make the illegal right turn after not seeing the sign.

They sit in a business driveway behind the trees just north of Englewood . Drivers going northbound can’t see them until it is to late.

Bagley Rd at Berea Border

Middleburg Heights, OhioMar 18, 20101 Comments

While I personally do not anyone should speed in a school zone, east bound traffic on Bagley, are in a school zone and should be traveling at posted 20mph during appropriate hours….However, the signage is confusing as while traveling east, there is a sign advising the speed limit is 35 mph and then maybe 100 feet further there is a sign advising “End of School Zone”. Police park in apartment parking lot just east of border with Berea and nail drivers responding to 35 mph sign and accelerate before end of school zone sign.

Officers park in the church parking lot just north of Ivy Lane and pull over cars in both directions.

Interstate I-71 near Sprague Road

Middleburg Heights, OhioFeb 13, 20080 Comments

The Middleburg Hts. cops sit just north of Sprague and time northbound people while they are driving in Srongsville! The city limit is Sprague Rd. and they like to sit there so they can make 3 stops before having to exit and turn around to nail southbound drivers.
In fact all along I-71 northbound from Brusnwick to I-480 they run almost continual speed traps including the State Highway patrol. It seems like they are fighting for the best ambush spots. Set it at 64 and forget it. (60 mph limit.)
