New Richmond, Ohio Speed Traps

The entire length of US 52 through the village is heavily patrolled by New Richmond. The area near Beckjord Rd. is patrolled heavily by OSHP and Pierce Township. There are speed cameras at either end of the village on US 52 that are currently deactivated as the result of a lawsuit. Every posted speed limit sign in the village has a ‘Fines Doubled’ sign beneath it. Revenue generation is a priority in this village in the name of $afety.

This trap runs from city limit to city limit(about 3 miles). The speed drops from 60 to 55 on a stretch of road that looks the same as your already on. Then it drops to 50 as you get closer to the intersections of town. They ticket for 58.
