Port Clinton, Ohio Speed Traps

This street is the primary route thru this small town. Runs East-West along Lake Erie. Local Police have taken to hiding behind various obstructions to quickly nab unsuspecting travelers through the town. Also license-plate scanners enabled on vehicles courtesy of the local DHS office; with data being sent “somewhere” for analysis-NSA??

Leaving Port Clinton and heading North towards the Nuclear Plant when the speed limit drops from 65 to 55 a cop sits there West of the road and he will tack on 3 miles an hour to your speed.

It’s not a speed trap, it’s a drunk trap. ALWAYS use a cab leaving Catawba Inn. Even a designated driver doesn’t always do the trick. Police wait in boat line parking lot and can go in an direction.
