Reading, Ohio Speed Traps
Galbraith Rd. near Reading Rd.intersection.
Arlington Heights police are sitting under I-75 catching eastbound traffic on Galbraith heading towards Reading Rd. Reading police are sitting near Ronald Reagan highway’s westbound exit onto Galbraith Rd catching traffic exiting the highway (55 mph) onto westbound Galbraith Rd (25 mph). In this case the Speed limit sign exists just as you’re navigating the turn off Ronald Reagan onto Galbraith, which makes it hard to notice as you’re navigating the turn. The next sign is at the bottom of the hill, at which point they’ve already clocked you.
There were three cars pulled over while I was being written up, and when I went back the next morning to see where the signs were there were two more being written up. Total speed trap!
Reading Rd., Rt. 42
Speed is 25 MPH through Reading. Everywhere else along that route is 35 or 40 MPH. Can’t always see the signs because of larger vehicle or trucks blocking as you keep an eye on traffic as well.
Reading Rd ( US 42) entire length of Reading city limits
As you enter Reading on Reading Rd, from Cincinnati the speed limit is 35. It then drops to 25 entire length of city till you enter city of Evendale where speed resumes to 40 MPH. This makes about 2 miles of Reading Rd in Reading a Cherry Patch for law enforcement. They will give you 35, but 37 will get you a nice rememberance of your visit.
Reading Road from Cooper Road to Benson Street
Police there every day, especially mornings, hidden behind parked cars and in parking lots.
Reading Rd Street near Chaucer Dr Drive
Please be aware, Reading police will hide near Reading and Chaucer Dr at the bank parking lot. They sit towards the rear of the lot to stay hidden and I was given a ticket going 28 MPH in a 25. I live very close to here and they are out almost all the time any more at this location. Some people say you need to go faster for them to give you a ticket and this simply is inaccurate as the will even 3 MPH over.
