Reno, OH – 1st 1/4 Mile of Co. Rd. 9 – 45 to 35

Reno, OhioMar 17, 20150 Comments

Just outside of Marietta, the community of Reno sits. Coming from Marietta, County Road 9 connects suburbs and rural areas to Ohio SR-7. Between entering Co. Rd. 9 from OH-7 and Rauch Drive of the Sunnyview Estates, may also sit Sheriff’s cruisers or Ohio State Highway Patrol cars. They both have on occasion been here to pick up those not obeying the newer (~2013) reduced speed of 35 MPH between OH-7 and Rauch Dr. Some of the reduced speed comes from a large trucking operation entrance being located in this 1/4 mile stretch, where sneaky law enforcement lurk behind truck trailers. The normal speed on Co. Rd. 9 is 45 MPH with the previous reduced speed in that 1/4 mile being 40 MPH. A further reduction of 5 MPH (40 to 35) can make the difference, however, when the state needs to make a couple extra dollars.
