Trebisky Road near Highland Road

Richmond Heights, OhioAug 27, 20070 Comments

Trebisky Road, Richmond Heights, Ohio, near Highland Road. The speed changes from 35 mph (appropriate) in South Euclid to 25 mph as soon as driver passes border into Richmond Heights. A policeman with radar sits in a church driveway on the east side of Trebisky and nabs people who didn’t see the sign indicated the change in speed, which makes no sense except to put $$ into the hands of the City of Richmond Heights.

Highland Road near Euclid Avenue Route 20

Richmond Heights, OhioMay 14, 20050 Comments

Heading up Highland Road Hill proceeding South from Euclid Ave. often finds Richmond Heights Police shooting LASER down the hill from either the mouth of Georgetwon Road (at the top of the Hill) or at other times they will be across the street from Georgetown Road parked in the grass. About 3/4 of the way up the hill starts the border of Richmond Heights. They like to shoot LASER down the hill just waiting for you to cross the border and they aim at the point where you are just leaving the city of Euclid and entering into Richmond Heights. You have to be looking farther up the hill than you normally would in order to spot them. And if you don’t spot them in time you will find yourself with a ticket just as soon as you cross the border into their jurisdiction. The speed limit is 35 on the hill but everybody likes to do (a safe) 50 and they know it!
