Rocky River, Ohio Speed Traps
Interstate 90 Westbound near Exit Number Hilliard Road/Rocky River
The patrol car sits on the left berm of I-90 heading west, right before the Hilliard Road/Rocky River exit. There is a hill right before where he sits, so you can’t see him until it’s too late. He leaves himself enough room to still get off the Hilliard Road exit in case you try to exit to avoid him.
Interstate 90 near Hilliard Boulevard
Rocky River Police Department Patrol the entire area from the Lakewood border to Westlake border. High patrol areas include the area between Rocky River Bridge and the Hilliard onramp/offramp area both Eastbound and Westbound. Other noted areas are the onramp offramp area near Detroit exit in both Directions and Westbound at near the Westlake border. Be prepared for Dark Blue cruisers with little markings and low profile lights. Also they use motorcycles and love to hide in the shadows of the bridges. Typical enforcement is lane 1. Speeders 8+ over the 60MPH limit are most likely to be caught. Remember they often work in multiples and are there year round (I think they get money from the county or state to help cut down speeders)
Lake Road near Sewage Plant
Heading west toward the Bay Village line, police commonly run radar around the sewage plant. Speed limit is 35 and doesn’t change in Bay Village but it gets away from some unwary drivers about here.
Lake Road
Heading west from Lakewood to Rocky River on Lake Road, the speed limit goes from 35 mph to 25 mph right after the bridge. Cops often sit on the north (left) side of the street in one of the gas station parking lots. They usually try to get people at night, so be careful.
Interstate 90 near Detriot Road
Under the Detroit road bridge going west on 90.
